Asur Season 2 is a web series that follows Nikhil Nair and Dhananjay Rajpoot, two forensic experts who are on the trail of a serial killer who believes himself to be the reincarnation of Kali, the demon king. The series is a mix of crime thriller and mythology.  The series stars Arshad Warsi as Dhananjay Rajpoot, a senior CBI officer; Barun Sobti as Nikhil Nair, a former CBI officer; Anupriya Goenka as Naina Nair, Nikhil's wife; Ridhi Dogra as Nusrat Saeed, a CBI officer; Amey Wagh as Rasool Shaikh/Shubh Joshi, the main antagonist; and Abhishek Chauhan as adult Shubh Joshi. The series was created by Gaurav Shukla and aired on JioCinema.
