Shazam! Fury of the Gods is an exciting superhero movie and the sequel to the 2019 film Shazam! It continues the story of Billy Batson, a foster kid who can transform into the adult superhero Shazam. Billy is enjoying his new life with his foster family and friends while balancing his schoolwork and superhero responsibilities. However, he soon faces a new threat from Hespera and Kalypso, the daughters of the ancient god Atlas, who want to unleash their father's wrath upon the world.

Meanwhile, Thaddeus Sivana, a mad scientist defeated by Shazam previously, escapes from prison with the help of a telepathic worm-like alien named Mister Mind. They join forces with Hespera and Kalypso, offering their knowledge and resources in exchange for a share of power. Their plan is to steal the magic staff of Merlin, which holds the essence of all magic, and overthrow the wizard Shazam.
Billy's foster brother Freddy informs him about the danger, and they discover that Billy has a long-lost sister named Rachel in London. Determined to protect her, Billy, Freddy, and their foster siblings Mary, Eugene, Pedro, and Darla travel to London as the Shazam Family. There, they meet Rachel, a shy girl who loves fantasy books, and she joins them in becoming a superhero.
Adara, the champion of Zephyrus, another source of Shazam's powers, reveals that she has been battling Hespera and Kalypso for centuries. Adara offers her assistance in stopping their evil plan. Together, the Shazam Family and Adara locate the villains at an ancient temple where they have found Merlin's staff. A fierce battle ensues, but Hespera and Kalypso overpower them and summon the giant titan Atlas to destroy the world.
Billy realizes he must use his wisdom of Solomon, an underutilized power, to find a way to defeat the gods. He recalls Atlas's weak spot on his neck and the requirement for wielding Merlin's staff. Billy devises a plan to distract Atlas and seize the staff to use against him. With the help of his siblings and Adara, Billy strikes Atlas's weak spot, causing him to drop the staff.
Empowered by the staff, Billy shatters Atlas, leading to Hespera and Kalypso's demise. Sivana and Mister Mind are captured by Adara. Billy returns the staff to Merlin's tomb, expressing gratitude for his guidance, and invites Adara to join his family. Adara happily accepts, longing for a family like theirs.

The movie concludes with Billy and his siblings celebrating their victory alongside Rachel. Superman pays them a surprise visit, commending their heroism and offering them membership in the Justice League.
