Money Heist Season 5 | Úrsula Corberó | Álvaro Morte | Itziar Ituño

Money heist season 5 is a web series that follows the final heist of the Professor and his team, who are trapped inside the Bank of Spain and face a new enemy, the army. The web series is created by Álex Pina and streams on Netflix.

The web series stars Úrsula Corberó as Tokyo, Álvaro Morte as the Professor, Itziar Ituño as Lisbon, Pedro Alonso as Berlin, Miguel Herrán as Rio, Jaime Lorente as Denver, Esther Acebo as Stockholm, Darko Peric as Helsinki, Rodrigo de la Serna as Palermo, Najwa Nimri as Alicia Sierra, Luka Peros as Marseille, Belén Cuesta as Manila, Enrique Arce as Arturo, and José Manuel Poga as Gandía.

Story :

Part 1 picks up from the cliffhanger of Season 4, where the Professor is captured by Inspector Sierra, who has gone rogue after being exposed as a torturer. Sierra holds the Professor at gunpoint and demands to know his plan, but he refuses to talk. Meanwhile, inside the Bank of Spain, the gang is still mourning the death of Tokyo, who sacrificed herself to save her friends from the army's attack.

They manage to rescue Lisbon, who parachutes into the bank, but they are still surrounded by the military forces led by Colonel Tamayo. The gang decides to continue with their plan to melt the gold and escape through the sewers, but they face several obstacles along the way, such as a flood in the vault, a hostage rebellion led by Arturo, and a betrayal by Gandia, who escapes and joins forces with Sagasta, the leader of the Special Forces.

The gang also receives unexpected help from Marseille, who infiltrates the army's communication system and feeds them false information; Benjamin and his team of hackers, who create a diversion by hacking into the government's websites; and Alicia Sierra herself, who switches sides and helps the Professor escape from her trap. Sierra reveals that she is pregnant and that she wants to join the gang's cause. She also tells the Professor that Berlin had a son named Rafael, who might be involved in another heist.

Part 1 ends with a shocking twist: as the gang is about to finish extracting the gold, they realize that someone has defused their bombs and stolen their treasure. The Special Forces storm into the bank and capture most of the robbers, while some manage to escape through the sewers. The Professor surrenders himself to Tamayo, but not before instructing his team to find out who stole their gold and why

Part 2 resumes with Tamayo interrogating the Professor and his team, trying to find out where their gold is. He offers them a deal: if they confess, they will be given new identities and a chance to start over; if they don't, they will face life imprisonment or death penalty.

The gang refuses to cooperate and sticks to their story: they don't know where their gold is. They also discover that their gold has been stolen by Tatiana, Berlin's ex-wife, and Rafael, Berlin's son, who are part of another heist crew that has been planning to rob Fort Knox.

The gang decides to escape from prison and join forces with Tatiana and Rafael to pull off one last heist: stealing back their gold from Fort Knox. They use their skills and resources to break out of jail, hijack a plane, infiltrate Fort Knox, and retrieve their treasure.

Along the way, they face many dangers and sacrifices, such as losing Nairobi's son Axel, who dies in a car crash; losing Denver and Stockholm, who are shot by Sagasta; losing Palermo and Helsinki, who are killed by an explosion; and losing Rio and Manila, who are captured by the FBI.

The season closes with a montage of scenes showing what happened to each character after the heist: some start new lives in different countries; some reunite with their loved ones; some continue their fight for justice; some find peace and happiness.

Web Series Review :

Money Heist season 5 is the final chapter of the most popular TV show in the world, and it delivers an intense and thrilling ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The show wraps up its labyrinthine caper with plenty of panache, emotion, and surprises to remind viewers how it stole their devotion to begin with.

The first part of the season focuses on the robbers' battle of survival inside the Bank of Spain, as they face off against the army, a vengeful Sierra, and their own personal demons. The action sequences are abundant and spectacular, featuring explosions, shootouts, and grenades.

The show doesn't shy away from violence and bloodshed, and some major characters meet their tragic end. The stakes are higher than ever, and the tension is palpable. But Money Heist is not just about the heist. It's also about the characters and their relationships, which are the heart and soul of the show.

The season gives us brilliant backstories and flashbacks that reveal more about their pasts, motivations, and connections. We see how Berlin and his son planned the gold extraction, how Tokyo met her first love and the Professor, how Helsinki and Nairobi became friends, and how the Professor dealt with his grief and guilt.

We also see how the robbers have grown closer as a family, supporting each other through thick and thin. The season also explores some interesting themes, such as the meaning of life and death, the power of love and loyalty, the ethics of resistance and rebellion, and the role of fate and free will.

The show challenges us to question our own morals and values, as we root for the anti-heroes who defy the law but uphold their own code of honor. The show also makes us reflect on the social and political issues that affect our world today, such as corruption, inequality, injustice, and oppression.

The season is not without its flaws, however. Some plot points are implausible or convenient, some characters act out of character or make stupid decisions, some scenes are melodramatic or cheesy, and some twists are predictable or anticlimactic. The show sometimes sacrifices logic for spectacle or emotion, and sometimes drags on or repeats itself. The season could have been tighter and more consistent in its storytelling.

But despite its imperfections, Money Heist season 5 is a satisfying conclusion to a remarkable series that has captivated millions of fans around the world. It is a show that celebrates life in all its complexity and diversity, that inspires us to fight for our dreams and ideals, that entertains us with its humor and charm, and that moves us with its passion and humanity. It is a show that will live many lives in our hearts.
