Terminator dark fate is a movie that follows Sarah Connor and her allies, who have to protect a young woman named Dani Ramos from a new Terminator sent from the future. The movie is a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day, ignoring the events of the other sequels.
The movie stars Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor, Arnold Schwarzenegger as T-800 or Carl, Mackenzie Davis as Grace, Natalia Reyes as Dani Ramos, Gabriel Luna as Rev-9, and Diego Boneta as Diego Ramos. The movie is directed by Tim Miller and produced by James Cameron and David Ellison.
Story:
The movie begins in 1998, three years after Sarah and John Connor stopped Skynet from launching a nuclear war. They are living in Guatemala, when they are attacked by a T-800 Terminator, one of the many sent by Skynet before its destruction. The Terminator kills John, leaving Sarah devastated.
In 2020, Dani Ramos is a factory worker in Mexico City, who lives with her father and brother. She is targeted by a Rev-9, a new type of Terminator that can split into two forms: a liquid metal endoskeleton and a solid carbon-based exterior. However, she is saved by Grace, an augmented human soldier sent from 2042 by the Resistance.

Grace tells Dani that she is the future leader of the Resistance against Legion, a new artificial intelligence that took over after Skynet's defeat. They are also helped by Sarah Connor, who has been hunting down Terminators for decades, using coordinates sent by an anonymous source.
Sarah reveals that after John's death, she dedicated her life to preventing Judgment Day, which was only postponed by their actions. She also reveals that the source of the coordinates is the same T-800 that killed John, who developed a conscience and remorse after completing its mission. He now goes by the name Carl and lives with a human family.
The four of them travel to Texas, where they meet Carl, who agrees to help them stop the Rev-9. He tells them that he has been sending Sarah the coordinates of the Terminators' arrivals, hoping to give her a purpose and a chance to save lives. He also tells them that Dani is not the mother of the future Resistance leader, but the leader herself.
They decide to use an EMP device to destroy the Rev-9, but they are ambushed by border patrol agents and taken to a detention center. There, they encounter the Rev-9 again, who has infiltrated the facility. They manage to escape with the help of Grace's contacts, who provide them with a military plane and weapons.
They board the plane and fly towards Hoover Dam, where the EMP device is located. However, the Rev-9 hijacks another plane and crashes it into theirs, causing them to parachute out. They land on a dam, where they confront the Rev-9 in a final battle.
Grace sacrifices herself to give Dani her power source, which can overload and destroy the Rev-9. Dani stabs the Rev-9 with it, while Sarah and Carl shoot at it with heavy weapons. Carl then tackles the Rev-9 into a pit, where they both explode.

Movie Review:
Terminator: Dark Fate has elicited mixed reactions from the audience, with opinions ranging from disappointment to moderate satisfaction. While some viewers appreciated the action-packed sequences and visual effects, others felt that the film fell short compared to its iconic predecessors.
One common sentiment among viewers is that "Dark Fate" doesn't quite live up to the legendary status of "Terminator 2: Judgment Day." It is evident that the movie tries to recapture the magic of the second installment, but most viewers feel that it falls short in achieving that level of brilliance.

The first and last 30 minutes of the film are praised for their intense action and thrilling moments, but the middle part is criticized for being slow-paced and dialogue-heavy, leaving some audience members disengaged.
The return of Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor is met with both admiration and disappointment. Many appreciate her powerful performance and the nostalgic touch she brings to the film, while others feel that the story took a questionable direction by sidelining her character and neglecting the significance of her role as John Connor's mother.
The addition of new characters like Dani Ramos and Grace introduces fresh dynamics to the story, but opinions about them are divided. Some viewers find it hard to connect with these characters, as they lack the depth and uniqueness seen in previous Terminator protagonists. However, Mackenzie Davis's portrayal of Grace garners positive feedback, with her action sequences and resilience being particularly praised.
Arnold Schwarzenegger's return as the iconic Terminator is met with a mixture of appreciation and criticism. While some enjoy his classic one-liners and action sequences, others feel that his character arc has been exhausted, and the film fails to bring anything new to his role.
The film's action sequences and visual effects are highly regarded, with many viewers appreciating the thrilling battles and intense fight scenes. Director Tim Miller, known for his work on "Deadpool," showcases his command over action and pacing, leading to a satisfying viewing experience.
One aspect that has generated conflicting opinions is the film's attempt to alter the Terminator timeline. While some viewers appreciate the fresh take on the story, others find the changes contrived and unnecessary, leading to confusion and disappointment.
Overall, "Terminator: Dark Fate" is considered a decent action film but falls short of reaching the heights of the original classics. The movie has its moments of excitement and nostalgia, but it struggles to carve out a unique identity and significance within the Terminator franchise.
