Moon Knight is a web series that follows Steven Grant, a gift-shop employee who suffers from dissociative identity disorder (DID) and shares a body with Marc Spector, a mercenary who becomes the avatar of the Egyptian god Khonshu. The series is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name and is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The series stars Oscar Isaac as Steven Grant/Marc Spector/Moon Knight and his other personalities; Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow, a cult leader and archaeologist; May Calamawy as Layla El-Faouly, Steven's friend and co-worker; Karim El Hakim as Khonshu Performer, a masked man who embodies Khonshu; F. Murray Abraham as Khonshu, the voice in Steven/Marc's head; and Gaspard Ulliel as Anton Mogart, a mysterious villain. The series was created by Jeremy Slater and directed by Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead.

Story :

The series begins with Steven Grant (Oscar Isaac) having blackouts and memories of another life. He discovers that he has DID and that he has four other personalities: Marc Spector, a former CIA agent and soldier of fortune who was left for dead in Egypt and revived by Khonshu; Jake Lockley, a cab driver and streetwise informant; Mr. Knight, a white-suited detective who works with the police; and Moon Knight, a vigilante who wears a silver mask and cloak and fights crime with his crescent-shaped weapons.

Steven tries to balance his multiple identities while working at a gift shop run by his friend Gena Landers (May Calamawy). He also sees a therapist named Dr. Andrea Sterman (Fernanda Andrade), who tries to help him cope with his condition. However, he soon becomes involved in a deadly mystery involving the ancient gods of Egypt.

He learns that Ethan Hawke (Ethan Hawke), a cult leader and archaeologist, has stolen the Orb of Ra, a powerful artifact that can control the sun. Hawke plans to use the Orb to unleash an army of mummies and resurrect the evil god Set, who wants to destroy Khonshu and his followers. Hawke also has a personal grudge against Marc Spector, whom he blames for ruining his career and reputation.

Steven/Marc teams up with Marlene Alraune (Ann Akinjirin), an art restorer and Marc's former lover; Frenchie DuChamp (Gaspard Ulliel), a French pilot and Marc's old friend; Bertrand Crawley (David Ganly), a homeless man and Jake's informant; and Khonshu himself (F. Murray Abraham), who appears as a voice in Steven/Marc's head and guides him on his mission.

Together, they face various obstacles and enemies, such as Hawke's cultists, mercenaries, assassins, and supernatural creatures. They also discover that Hawke has kidnapped Steven's father Elias Grant (Rey Lucas), a wealthy businessman and philanthropist who has a dark secret. Steven/Marc must rescue his father and stop Hawke from unleashing Set upon the world.

Along the way, Steven/Marc also struggles with his own inner demons and doubts. He questions his sanity, his morality, and his relationship with Khonshu. He wonders if he is really doing good or if he is just a pawn of a manipulative god. He also tries to reconnect with his family, friends, and love interests, who are unaware of his true identity.

The series ends with a climactic showdown between Steven/Marc and Hawke at the Temple of Khonshu in New York City. Steven/Marc manages to defeat Hawke and destroy the Orb of Ra, preventing Set's return. However, he also learns that Khonshu has been using him for his own agenda, and that he plans to take over the world with his moon cult. Steven/Marc rebels against Khonshu and frees himself from his influence. 

He then decides to embrace all his identities and use them for good. He also reunites with Marlene, who accepts him for who he is. The series ends with Steven/Marc continuing his adventures as Moon Knight, while also living his life as Steven Grant, Jake Lockley, Mr. Knight, and Marc Spector.
