The four girls were then sent to Afghanistan, where they joined ISIS as terrorists. They participated in various attacks and killings, believing that they were doing God's work. They also became pregnant with their husbands' children.
However, their lives took a turn when they were captured by the Afghan forces during a raid. They were taken to a prison, where they were interrogated by the Indian intelligence officers. They were also confronted by their parents, who had been searching for them for years.
Shalini's mother (Devadarshini) pleaded with her daughter to come back home, but Shalini refused to acknowledge her as her mother.
